Ceeryaami Yasin

Ceeryaami is one of the 2 main characters in The Windows Have Fogged. Ceeryaami is a Somali refugee who leaves in the early 90s by being a college aged student accepted into a Norwegian program. She helps the rest of her family immigrate in the coming years as the situation in Somalia worsens.

Pre Timeloop

Ceeryaami works as a database manager at a small bank branch, and takes transcript writer work on the side. She is the primary income for her household. Ceeryaami teaches her mother and younger siblings Norwegian in her free-time at home, in hopes to speed up their naturalization process.

Ceeryaami is extremely busy and barely has a moment to herself. She crochets in downtime at work and chips away at personal projects slowly.

Post Timeloop

After the timeloop, Ceeryaami tries to find Tåket again. She tries to drive to Tåket's rural home, but the roads wind in ways she doesn't remember, and she never finds the home. She begrudgingly visits the bars she knows Tåket frequents, but she never finds her. She tries to use her workplaces internet access to reach out or search. She never gives up in the way Tåket does and tries to search every few months, sometimes getting into a frenzy of spending all her freetime thinking about Tåket.

In 2004, Ceeryaami and her family move down to Oslo so her siblings can start college. She knows at this point she truly will never find Tåket again. Even with the rise of the internet and mass commmunication, she just knows it'll never happen.
